Who We Are:P-U-R-R-S ...N' Pups is a 100% volunteer animal rescue group licensed under the 501c3 nonprofit charitable organization status. We are totally dedicated to helping stray, unwanted, abandoned, and homeless pets find permanent loving homes. We do not own a shelter and rely solely on our wonderful volunteer foster homes who provide temporary care, shelter, and love for our pets until they find their "forever" homes.
Come Visit Us:
Come see the animals! We host adoptions at PetCo in Ramsey, NJ in the Interstate Shopping Plaza on route 17 South. Adoption hours are Saturdays from 11:30 - 5:30 and Sundays from 12:30 - 5:30. We bring a variety of adotable pets with us each weekend and will most likely have something you haven't seen before since we are always rescuing!
To get to PetCo From route 287 in New Jersey, take 287 North to route 17 South. Stay on Rt 17 South for about 3 miles. Take the exit for Franklin Turnpike just past the Spring Street exit and you will see the Interstate shopping center, where PetCo is located, on your right.
Adopting a Friend through our Rescue:
Adopting through our rescue group is very simple... Please be advised we try our best to match the right animal with the appropriate forever family and we have certain rules and regulations we must abide by. 1. Complete an Online Adoption Application so we can learn about you and match the animal to your home and lifestyle. It only takes a few minutes, so do it now! (Note - even if you are interested in more than one pet, you only need to submit ONE application!) 2. Once approved, you will be notified, and you will be able to adopt. 3. Discuss medical conditions/adoption fees & Terms of Contract. 4. Sign Contract/Pay adoption donation (see below). 5. Take adopted pet home and provide eternal love!
Adoption Fees:
CATS: $90 - Includes spay/neuter, FVRCP (distemper) shots, deworming, flea/tick topical, rabies shot, and FeLV/FIV test.KITTENS: $70 (plus $20 refundable deposit for spay/neuter) - Includes FVRCP distemper shot(s), deworming, flea/tick topical, *rabies shot, and *FeLV/FIV test (*if of age).
DOGS: $229 - Includes spay/neuter, DHLPP (distemper) shots, deworming, flea/tick topical/bath, rabies shot, heartworm test, and microchip.
PUPPIES: $179 (plus $50 refundable deposit for spay/neuter) - Includes DHLPP (distemper) shots, deworming, flea/tick topical/bath, *rabies shot, *heartworm test (*if of age), and microchip
Volunteering and Donations:
We are presently seeking volunteers. So please come visit us, learn about how we operate, and join in the crew. We'd love to have you! The animals are awaiting you!
Donations: are greatly appreciated, as we are ALL volunteers and do this for the love of the Animals. You can make donations in person at PetCo during our scheduled adoption times, mail them to the address listed below, or donate online right here and now through our simple PayPal links below. Click on the "Donate" button below to make a one-time donation, or use the "subscribe" button to make a monthly $15 donation - that's less than 50 cents a day! Please note that all donations are fully tax deductible and be assured that 100% of the money goes directly to helping the animals. Thanks for helping us help them!
