Kristin
von Kreisler , "For Bea : The Story of the Beagle Who Changed
My Life". Kristin has graciously donated an autographed copy
of her book to help raise funds for Mascots, her note with her autograph
inside Bea's book reads as: "I hope you'll fall in love with Bea,
with all good wishes" Kristin von Kreisler.
While out for a walk one evening Kristin Von Kreisler came upon an
abandoned Beagle, a refugee from an animal research labratory. Unwilling
to return the dog to such a home, Von Kreisler took her in and named her
Bea. " I did not know that I had years of worry ahead of me- difficult
yet supremely rewarding years", she writes, our new house guest was
going to change my life". So begin For Bea, the account of a mute,
malnourished, and damaged little dog who became a Diva.
